PhilosphersNotes Free Audio/PDF Combos: Stephen Covey, Don Miguel Ruiz, Esther/Jerry Hicks

Nearly every day, while exercising or waiting in line somewhere, I crank up my little MP3 player and listen to one of Brian Johnson’s 20-minute PhilosophersNotes. These are his distillations of some of the “big ideas” mined from a whole bunch of powerful Self-Help and Philosophy books, delivered via Brian’s upbeat and informal “friendly philosopher” narrations. What’s more, if I need to revisit some of those “big ideas” later and steal a quote or two, I just call up the matching PDF that accompanies each note.

All-in-all, his PhilosophersNotes really live up to Brian’s claim that they are “the ultimate personal growth tool. Giving you more wisdom in less time.”

My 12 Favorite Posts from 2011

Below is a list of my 12 favorite posts from 2011. These were either 1) fun to research & write, or 2) particularly useful discoveries that I was eager to share. Some of these were both! See what you think. I look forward to your Comments.

BONUS… (A shameless promotion for my other FREEBIES website…)

Thought Vibration (The Law of Attraction in the Thought World)

Topic: The Law of Attraction
Format: MP3 audio (1 hr. 47 min. download; free, but registration required)
Reviewer/email: Mike G – greers_pm@yahoo.com

This audio is flat out amazing! It’s a powerful, intelligent reading of all 16 Chapters of William Walker Atkinson’s 1906 Thought Vibration, or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World. This work is one of the foundations of the “new thought” principles that you might have come to know through the movie and book, The Secret, as well as all manner of publications related to the Law of Attraction. I originally downloaded this out of idle curiosity — to learn a bit about the roots of The Law of Attraction. But I was blown away by the crispness and vigor of Atkinson’s writing — the clean, direct expression and force of his ideas. And these are beautifully and energetically rendered by narrator David Mitchell.  This no soothing, sleepy, new-age audio — it’s an “in your face” tour-de-force that will challenge you to rethink what you believe about the way you think. And if you think you know all about The Law of Attraction, then this work is likely to surprise you with some new content and a sometimes edgy attitude. I loved it!
